To add a mask stack to layer right click on the layer and click on Add Mask Stack or click on the mask stack icon at the bottom of the layer stack.
This will open a panel on the right, allowing you to add powerful masks to the layer. In this stack you can add components such as real-time curvature, procedural noise, patterns and much more along with modifiers that can alter and adjust the result in many ways. Some examples of modifiers are Brightness/Contrast, Posterize and Clamping.
A mask stack is made up of Components, layers that generate masks, and Modifiers, layers that modify the underlying mask in the stack. See the respective pages for more information on each type of layer.

When there is a component above another component, you can also control the blending mode and opacity of each layer by selecting a layer and using the dropdown on the top of the stack. For more information on the different methods of blending, see Blend Modes.
You can also click the hamburger icon on the top right to save or load a preset. A number of presets are included with Mixer.
Procedural Mask Presets
Procedural mask presets are made by the combination of mask components. You can adjust these presets accordingly by changing component’s controls.
