The paint layer is a powerful feature in Mixer where it allows the user to paint materials directly on top of the surface or a 3D mesh.

A Paint Layer is added to the Layer Stack as a normal layer but no mask can be applied to the Paint Layer. It can be clipped to the underlying layer as a normal layer.
